December Workshop Series
Do to the shortened month with the holidays we will not be running our regular four-week group classes. Instead, we will be running a specialty workshop series.
These workshops run in a two week series with each class covering two weeks of material.

Monday — December 4th & 1th
Body Movement with Destiny
- This class consist of exercises to build body awareness for better balance. What often restricts new dancers is the lack of understanding in how to align your body and keep your stability. Working and perfecting ones balance combined with stretching to improve range of motion will take your dancing to the next level.
- All levels welcome
Tuesday — December 5th and 12th
8pm Connections and Turns with Gintare
- This class will focus on improving your connections in partner dance. Connection is the term we use to describe how you connect to your partner in leading and following. This class is not specific to any dance but instead general things that apply to all Latin dances. Such as how to lead and follow single turns, multiple turns, exercises to understand push/pull connection to give you more power, understanding timing of movement with your partner. In leading how to feel placing your partner over their foot before leading the other step, as a follow knowing how to wait and feel for the lead. All this is done using what we term connections or how you connect and communicate with your partner. Understanding connections is essential to taking your dance to a higher level..

Wednesday — December 7th and 14th
7pm Bachata Partner Work and Connections with Daniella
- In this class you will be taught a small combo of steps to then break down and focus on lead and follow techniques.

Thursday — December 1st & 8th
7 pm Hip Hop with Jess
- This class will work on a set piece of hip hop choreography for two weeks. Beginners are welcome. Its a fun, energetic class to get you moving!
- All levels welcome
8 pm Jazz with Jess
7pm Salsa with Jorge
8pm Tango Embellishments with Etiri
In Argentine Tango embellisments is a term used to describe the stylistic choices you can do to add flair to your dance. You’ll learn more intricate footwork and leg action to really take on the character and style of Tango.
- Must have at least taken Intro to Tango
8pm Fundamentals in Salsa Partner Work with Jorge
- Dig deeper into the technical aspects of lead and follow in Salsa. We will be using figures you’ve already done in class and digging deeper into the technique to bring your dance to a higher level.
