Group Option

Wedding Preparation Group Class

Our 4-week group class runs monthly from March through October, meeting Mondays at 6pm — starting the first Monday of each month. In this class you'll learn to feel comfortable dancing together so you can relax and enjoy your first dance. You'll cover basic figures that work with any song: a few basic steps, a simple underarm turn, an entrance and exit, and a dip. Pair this class with a wedding package for the best results.

Private Wedding Dance Lessons

Private lessons are the best way to get individual attention and fully customize your first dance. Our instructors will help you choose the dance style that fits your music, and work with you step by step to reach your goals — whether that's a simple, elegant first dance or a full choreographed routine. Private lessons are also a great option for parents preparing for their turn on the dance floor.

Wedding Dance FAQ

How far in advance should we start lessons?
We recommend starting 2–3 months before your wedding date. This gives you enough time to learn and practice comfortably without feeling rushed. If you're doing a group class plus private lessons, starting 4–5 months out is ideal.
Do we need any dance experience?
Absolutely not. Most of our wedding couples have little to no dance experience, and our instructors are experts at meeting you exactly where you are. Whether you want a simple, natural-looking first dance or a full routine, we'll make it work for you.
What dance styles can we learn for our first dance?
We teach all popular first dance styles including Waltz, Foxtrot, Rumba, Swing, and more. Your instructor will help you choose the style that best fits your music selection and personal taste.
Can parents take lessons too?
Yes! Private lessons are a wonderful option for parents preparing for the parent-child dance. Just book a single lesson or package and let your instructor know the occasion.
Should we do the group class, private lessons, or both?
Both together is our most popular option. The group class gives you a solid foundation and is a fun experience, while private lessons let you customize your routine to your specific song and goals. Many couples take private lessons alongside the group class or in the weeks after it finishes.
